A hybrid online school where world-class Cambridge teaching meets the flexibility your family deserves. Live lessons, real teachers, real results — from anywhere.
At Brightcrest International School (BIS), we believe education should be flexible, inclusive, and future-ready. Founded in 2025 and based in Nairobi, we are a hybrid online school fully led by the globally respected Cambridge International Curriculum, from Early Years through A-Level (K-12).
Our approach blends live online instruction, optional in-person enrichment, real-time academic tracking, and bespoke curriculum mapping that adapts to each child's pace, interests, and goals. Students may attend full-time online, hybrid, or flexi-school.
A complete Cambridge-led educational journey from Early Years through A-Level (K-12) — all delivered by subject-specialist teachers in live, timetabled online classes.
Our Early Years programme is rooted in the Cambridge EYFS framework, designed around play-based discovery. Young learners build communication skills, early literacy and numeracy, and emotional foundations in an online environment crafted for small children — with short, engaging live sessions and rich offline activities.
KS1 builds the foundational skills every learner needs for a successful educational journey. Through the Cambridge Primary curriculum, children master phonics, develop strong mathematical thinking, and begin to explore the world around them — all in a nurturing, structured online environment with small class sizes.
KS2 is where academic confidence is built. Students develop genuine mastery of core subjects, sharpen critical thinking, and begin their STEM journey. Live lessons are complemented by independent project-based learning and collaborative activities with peers from across the world.
KS3 broadens the academic horizon before students select their IGCSE pathways. Subject-specialist teachers deliver the British National Curriculum in live, timetabled lessons. Students develop independent learning habits, digital literacy, and leadership skills that will define their future trajectories.
BIS offers the Cambridge International GCSE — one of the world's most respected qualifications at secondary level. Students choose from a broad subject menu to build a qualification portfolio that reflects their strengths and future aspirations.
Cambridge International A-Levels at Brightcrest are taught by specialist, university-educated teachers who understand the depth of content required for top university entry. Students choose 3–4 A-Level subjects and receive intensive, focused teaching alongside dedicated university application guidance.

Brightcrest has transformed my child's learning experience. The personalised approach and excellent teachers make all the difference. Our daughter has gone from dreading school to genuinely loving her lessons.
The hybrid model works perfectly for our family. My son is training professionally in athletics and couldn't fit into a traditional school schedule. Brightcrest gives him the best of both worlds.
I love how I can learn at my own pace while still being part of a vibrant school community. The teachers are genuinely passionate and the platform makes it easy to never fall behind.
We are proud of the doors our Cambridge-led education opens. Brightcrest students — including those with identified SEND — are prepared for a genuinely global range of opportunities beyond school.
From merit-based scholarships to carefully prepared, individually guided university applications, our students leave Brightcrest ready to compete for places at universities across Kenya, the wider region, and internationally. Every student receives dedicated guidance through the application process — from subject choices and predicted grades to personal statements and interview preparation — so that each application reflects their genuine strengths and ambitions.
Deserving students are supported through our scholarship programme, helping talented learners access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach, while our university guidance team works closely with every graduating class to match students with institutions and courses suited to their goals.
We are building a team of passionate educators who believe in the power of a Cambridge-led online education to reach students everywhere. Remote-first, professionally supported, and genuinely mission-driven.
